Unit 7~ Meeting Aesclepius

***__Well good evening everyone, I hope that everyone is enjoying and having a safe holiday with their family, friends, and loved ones. After experiencing the “Meeting Aesclepius” I still feel the same about too much talking for me. In addition, I do not like how they sound a little bit like a computer. I would rather have just the elements of the waves and wind, but I still tried my best with going with the flow of this exercise just for the experience itself. This is good practice for me to take with me when I go to the lake to clear my mind. It’s nice to have as well as learn new techniques upon completing my goal of clearing my mind of negativity and enter health and wellness. Mindfulness and meditation both have fostered an increase in my psychological as well as spiritual wellness since 2010 when I would go to the lake and meditate for as long as an hour. Well the saying “One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself” is self explanatory (to me that is). I believe this because the best coaches, professors, doctors, and leadings are the ones who not only walked down that path in life, but also implanted signs to guide others in the right direction in order for them to find and take higher directions upon new ways to overall health and wellness. This is how we as humans come together as one in order for us all to life a happier and healthier lifestyle with these new finds for a better and healthier you and me. This is not only my obligation to grow my health psychologically, physically, and spiritually, but it’s our as one.

Universal Loving-Kindness & Meditation~

***_Well hello everyone, I hope that everyone is having a safe and enjoyable Holiday shopping season and traveling. After practicing the universal Loving Kindness (meditation) exercise, I couldn’t help but to think about all of the recent shootings that’s been occurring around the world. Maybe there wouldn’t be any more shooting upon children schools, movie theaters, hospitals, salons or anywhere at that matter; if we all practice universal Loving Kindness. The whole world needs to close their eyes, open their hearts, and for a moment rest into the natural ease of their mind and body, in order to gain freedom from all suffering. Thus we as human beings can locate and position sustained health, happiness, and wholeness together and not just as individuals, because we are not alone in this world where we call home. Yes, I believe that we all should take this exercise and assessment so that our area of difficulty and suffering may surface and diminish from whichever infective aspect of our individual life. What I have discovered about myself is that maybe I’m not spreading enough love-kindness far enough, where at that point someone else can than start to spread love-kindness until we reach everyone who is not aware that they truly need of it. With that said I shall focus on all areas of growth and development, because I’m starting to believe that if we all take these steps of development, we all shall grow upon a healthier and safer world. What are some specific activities I can implement to foster greater wellness?  I’m thinking of meditation through held group gatherings in person, Skype, or anonymous seminars to foster a greater path to wellness for not only myself, but for us all.

Mental Fitness~

***_Greetings every, I hope that everyone is feeling blessed to have awaken upon this beautiful day of overall life. I’m happy to have practiced with these exercises this weekend. I believe that these exercises help mentally bring us back to a fresh page upon our book of life, thus we as human beings need to make these exercises a way of life rather than just a practice. Not only would I recommend these exercises to others, but I have recommended these exercises to one of my friends who really need it due to unmanaged and unbalanced stress upon her life. Now when it comes to mental workout, our brain is a muscle which requires not only rest and relaxation, but the progressive development of an expanded consciousness. According to Dacher, “The most meaningful aim of contemplative practice is not rest and relaxation but rather the progressive development of an expanded consciousness and its healing capacities”(pg.65, 2006). The best way that I could implement mental workouts to foster my psychological health is for me to create/schedule time (just like I would for work at my job) a few times throughout the week.
