Unit III ~Optimal Well-being~

~Based on my reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10, I rate my physical wellbeing at an 8. I rate my spiritual wellbeing at a 9 and I rate my psychological wellbeing at a 9. I believe that I have some work to be complete upon the type of body that I once had last year. My life took many different turns (I may mention them later), which includes many different schedule changing. Spiritual is an area I’ve been working upon through life changes that recently occurring within my life, but there’s always room for improvements. Psychological is an important area, because it ties physical and spiritual together; thus it’s necessary to maintain a well balanced level upon these elements. My goal upon my physical wellbeing is to lose ten pounds of fat and gain ten by pounds of muscles by January 31, 2013. I shall also create a new gym schedule by December 2012. My goal upon my spiritual wellbeing is for me to attend Bible study every Thursday, since I have already started last week. My goal upon psychological is to have a more of a peace of mind upon life itself every night before I go to bed. I shall perform an hour on the treadmill and added physical activities such as cleaning and yard work; in order to reach my goal upon physical well-being. I shall read (and memorize) more prayers every day, in order to reach my goal upon spiritual well-being. I shall practices clearing my mind and writing down anything that is troubling me (with a solution) before I go to sleep at night, which will help me move toward my goals.

The Crime of the Century relaxation exercise doesn’t sound anywhere near what it actually is, but I thought it was pretty nice to experience (if you never experienced it before). I like the sound of the exercise, but I do not care too much about the narrator, because I already know what to do and I love to flow with the elements of sound upon the exercise (music). On the other hand, there are people who are not familiar with these exercises, thus the need of the narrator is there. I believe this relaxation exercise is beneficial, because everyone needs that one moment a day to reset their body and mind as well as clearing the mind of daily clutter of information. Even our cell phones need to power down and rest once a day, because our phones share information and connects too many different towers in order to keep us connected at all times. More forward, in the mist of connecting to different towers, our phones would have to continue switching back and forward tower to tower to stay connected, which creates clutter. I’m now more aware of overloading of the mind and finding a balance of psychological, spiritual, and physical well-being. So tell me, when are you going to free your mind today?

Unit II Relaxations Exercise~

Well I must say that I’m used to practicing relaxation exercises, due to the stressful life that I was born into. This form I still use currently in my life (not a lot). One thing for sure is that I do not have to do several of these breathing technique to get me relaxed, all I need is a few with my eyes closed. If I’m inside the house, I would turn off everything and lie back within my loveseat (which is the one of the most comfortable place to relax at my home) close my eyes as I quiet my mind. I would also use visualizations, Thus, I can use to restore myself to heath. For instances, sailing, watching a waterfall, walking lake side, watching the sunset and sunrise upon any form of body of water are wonderful visualizations that work best for me. There just something about the way the wind softly blows through my body; how lovely the sound of the water moving and the birds soaring above my head, how the sand feels beneath my feet, the scent of the fresh water as it mist onto my face, and the beautiful sight of witnessing such a beautiful work of art that God has in place every day for us to appreciate. I’m used to nature CDs, which I started because of my ex-girlfriend would play them every time we would study together. I like nature CDs over these relaxations exercise CDs, because the person’s voice seem like a distraction to me.
