Unit 8 Optimal Well-being

***_Greetings and salutations everyone, I hope that everyone is feeling blessed to have awaken upon this beautiful day of overall life. I’m happy to have practiced with these exercises such as Loving Kindness and Visualization. I believe that these exercises help mentally bring us back to a fresh page upon our book of life, thus we as human beings need to make these exercises a way of life rather than just a practice. In addition, we must use the art of relaxation and visualization in order to walk our individual path to health and wellness. For instance, If I’m inside the house, I would turn off everything and lie back within my loveseat (which is the one of the most comfortable place to relax at my home) close my eyes as I quiet my mind. This element assists Loving Kindness through the use of visualization, which helps restore myself to heath. I believe that if you cannot see your own path, how can ones walk upon it and assure that they are headed down the correct direction to their destination of the land of true health and wellness. The best way that I could implement mental workouts, relaxation, and visualization to foster my psychological health is for me to create/schedule time (just like I would for work at my job) a few times throughout the week with the uses of nature CDs, which includes sounds such as a loving waterfall that brings a mist of appreciation upon life itself.

  1. Hi Lee-

loving-kindess was my favorite as well. If more people practiced this there would be far less hatred in the world. I know that sounds very "hippie-esq" of me .. but maybe those hippies were onto something with their "make love, not war" mentality!

Take Care .. and enjoy your loveseat! ;)

  2. Lee,

Great post! Shutting everything off and relaxing is awesome! I love it when I have a chance to "un-plug" from this technological era we live in...no Facebook updates, no email alerts etc for just a short time is great!

My living room is my relaxation zone. Using nature CD's as part of your routine is a great idea, for me silence is a rare commodity so I take it when I can. :)
